# Briard-AI continuity and customer portability

Briard-AI is designed so a customer can take a complete, integrity-checkable copy of its workspace records without depending on a proprietary viewing tool.

Available product controls (not proof that a customer's export destination is activated):

- an on-demand complete machine-readable workspace export;
- optional scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly exports;
- record counts and a SHA-256 fingerprint for every exported table;
- a SHA-256 fingerprint for the complete archive;
- a verification step before download;
- preserved record IDs, timestamps, approval states, evidence references, provenance, and hashes; and
- offline migration instructions included in the export manifest.

Continuity targets can be recorded with each schedule. Those fields are planning targets, not a contractual service-level agreement. A scheduled export remains private to the customer workspace unless a separately configured customer destination is activated.

The August 28, 2026 production record verified 56 private-object copies and one non-destructive object restore with cleanup. This historical object-layer result does not prove current Briard database, identity, full-system or second-person recovery. The separate September 7 KAIDAN O02 technical production result does not close those Briard boundaries. See [dated evidence and open findings](./evidence-status.md). Keep a verified copy in an authorized destination before terminating access; a billing cancellation does not erase the original record or external copies.

Current limits:

- Briard-AI does not currently include an activated independent source-code or data-escrow provider agreement.
- Encrypted backup or a Briard-hosted scheduled export is not described as independent escrow.
- Customer-bucket delivery requires customer credentials and an approved destination configuration.
- A contractual recovery time, recovery point, retention term, post-termination access period, or succession commitment must be stated in a signed agreement to apply.
